We are Anna and Sophie, the two founders of hejhej-mats. We completed our Masters in Sustainability Management in Sweden and are both passionate yogis.

During an art exhibition in Gothenburg, we got inspired by an artwork by the Turkish artist Pinar Yoldas. She denounced yogis, because they often think they are acting very sustainably, but don't think down to their yoga mat. We felt caught and have been working on our sustainable yoga mat since that day.

HEJHEJ-FAMILY

We launched our closed-loop yoga mat in 2018, and then we brought additional recyclable yoga equipment onto the market. We now offer you eight products to make your yoga practice more sustainable.

FOCUSING ON STUDIO AND HOTEL PARTNERSHIPS

While in the first years we focused on promoting hejhej and our circular vision to end consumers, we slowly noticed that there is a huge demand on sustainable yoga equipment in the business environment as well. We got approached by many yoga studios and hotels and have now put a focus on partnering up with wonderful hejhej-partners and equipping their yoga studios or hotel rooms. We are super happy about all these partnerships and all the new ones that will come in the future!

LAUNCH OF OUR OWN HEJHEJ-YOUTUBE CHANNEL

As a completely new part of our business, we are now offering free yoga classes on our own Youtube channel. We want to make yoga accessible to as many people as possible and partnered up with our hejhej-partners and hejhej-friends. Katonah yoga, Blind yoga, Vinyasa yoga, Accessible yoga, yin yoga, yoga in sign language - let's explore the world of yoga together @hejhejmats!
