We have been looking for the most sustainable yoga mat for a long time, but we never found it. For us, this yoga mat has to be circular, there should be no waste on our planet. In addition to the health of the earth, it must also support the health of us humans. That’s why we have developed exactly this yoga mat with the hejhej-mat – the most sustainable yoga mat on the market for us.

There is a standard size: 186 cm long, 65 cm wide and 0.5 cm thick. This hejhej-mat weighs approx. 2 kg. With this measure we have found good the golden middle: the mat is very comfortable and yet not too heavy to carry with you in everyday life. In addition, there is an XL hejhej-mat, an extra long version. This is approx. 205 cm long, 65 cm wide and 0.5 cm thick. It weighs approx. 2.3 kg. Both versions of the hejhej-mat fit easily into the hejhej-bag.

Our yoga mats are made from offcuts that arise in the foaming industry. This is pre-consumer waste, i.e. materials that have never reached consumers and are merely left over from production. Therefore, the quality of these recycled materials is still perfect. The recycled foam also has certificates such as REACH. In order to avoid any doubts and to be really completely safe, we deliberately decided to use a virgin material as the surface. This material is medically compliant and is otherwise used for hospital products. Our yoga mats are therefore completely harmless to health.

If your hejhej-mat has small flaws on the surface despite care, we can repair them. We take them with us on our next production (about 2 times a year) and refinish the surface. We currently offer this service free of charge – because long-lasting products are very important to us.
However, if your hejhej-mat is no longer suitable for repair, you can send it back to us free of charge. We recycle them and use the foam as a basis for future hejhej-mats. Read more about the recycling process.

We ship our hejhej-equipment across Europe. If you cannot select your preferred country in the ordering process, simply write us a short email and we will take care of your request.

We have decided to list the shipping costs that we have to pay transparently and not to add them to the product price. Since we are still a small company, we do not get any particularly favorable conditions with DHL. In addition, there are costs for cardboard, adhesive tape, shipping labels, etc. So that our shipping costs really only cover what we incur in terms of costs.

Yes, we have recently activated a new Express Shipping option for you. You can simply select these during your order process. The costs are calculated automatically according to weight and distance. Your hejhej product will then be with you in 1-2 working days.

Our closed-loop hejhej products are all 100% made in Germany. We have different partners for this and our hejhej-bag, for example, is completely manufactured in a workplace for people with disabilities. It can, therefore, happen that one hejhej product has a slightly longer delivery time (e.g. 14 or 30 working days). The current delivery time is always shown on the product page of the respective product. You will also receive the current delivery time after ordering in your order confirmation mail. So it’s best to always check the delivery time in your order confirmation mail.

Yes, you can return your hejhej-mat to us within the 14-day return period. You can find everything you need to know if you want to return your product in our cancellation section.

Unfortunately, we cannot yet recycle old yoga mats from other manufacturers. Before you buy a new product, always consider whether your current product is still working. The most sustainable thing you can do is to use your products for as long as possible. However, it is always possible to give your old yoga mats a purpose as soon as they no longer meet your requirements. We made very good experiences donating mats to homeless shelters or children’s initiatives.
