What happens when a structural engineer with a passion for architecture and a designer realize their dream of a holiday home? The Knütthuus, sophisticatedly designed by Nils Kistner, is created, which, with its wooden frame construction made of regional wood, blends calmly into the Wendland surroundings: The house, which floats almost freely above the forest floor, with its large south-facing terrace, provides air and space for breathing outside, while inside the high, open Living and dining room with gallery is a space miracle for family time and deceleration from everyday life. There are also curated home accessories from regional designers, which were individually selected and compiled by Irina Rohpeter. With her sense of aesthetics and functional design, she has tracked down local partners whose objects can be used in the house on site.
