Both the label on the hejhej-mat and the hejhej lettering on the yoga strap are sewn or woven on from workplaces for people with disabilities.

Per bundle we support the following social and ecological initiatives:

• 1€ per hejhej-strap will be donated to the ecological Dr. Günther Pfann Foundation. The foundation rewilds areas in Franconia, for instance through bee meadows and by planting trees.
• €1 per mat goes to the social NGO EarthChild Project. It gives children in the townships of Cape Town access to yoga and environmental education.

The hejhej-mat consists of 1.5 kg foam offuts that are recycled. The yoga mat is then 100% recyclable.

The hejhej-strap is made off hemp, which is a nature-friendly material. Hemp is easy to grow and requires comparatively less water. Afterwards the yoga strap is 100% biodegradable - even in your own compost! The metal buckle is either reused or recycled.

As with all hejhej products, we take responsibility beyond their life cycle.

• The hejhej-mat get recycled into new hejhej-mats and hejhej-blocks.
• The hemp material of the hejhej-strap is proven to biodegrade. We reuse the buckle or put it into the metal recycling process.

The hejhej-mats yoga mat is particularly sustainable and designed for longevity. To maintain the outstanding quality, please follow our care instructions:

• Use a slightly damp cloth to clean your hejhej-mat.
• You can also use the hejhej-spray to clean the yoga mat. To do this, apply 1 to 2 pumps to your hejhej-mat and wipe with a dry cloth. It can also be used as a room spray before or after yoga practice.
• Not machine washable, please do not shower completely.
• Avoid direct sunlight on the light hejhej-mat. We don't use chemical UV blockers because it is better for the environment and healthier for us as humans. Therefore, store your hejhej-mat in a place protected from light, for example in your hejhej-bag to avoid color changes. Note: Color changes have no effect on the functionality, longevity and quality of the hejhej-mat.
